Clinical Trials Bootcamp™

Scientist using microscopeThe Clinical Trials Bootcamp™ is a training program for medical professionals interested in adding or growing clinical trials as part of their practice (CME Credits Pending Approval). This program is open to all medical specialties and it covers budgets, good clinical practices, documentation for clinical trials, scheduling clinical trial patients, hiring (and firing) nurse coordinators, ethical considerations, the institutional review board process, publishing results, the different phases of clinical trials and a wide range of essential aspects of this growing field of medicine.

Who Should Attend

Physicians, Clinical Research Nurses and Office Support Staff involved in clinical trials. In addition, Clinical Research Staff of Pharmaceutical companies are invited to attend. We anticipate over 300 qualified attendees from all aspects of medicine including Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Neurology, Oncology, Allergy and Immunology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, Family Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics and many others.

Online Clinical Trial Education

  • Protecting Human Research Participants
    A free, on-line tutorial offered by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Extramural Research, for physicians, nurses, and other members of clinical research teams. This online course satisfies the NIH human subjects training requirement for extramural researchers obtaining Federal funds.
  • Cancer Clinical Trials Basics
    A Web-based course for healthcare providers and others who have a limited clinical research background and are somewhat unfamiliar with the clinical trials process.
  • Incorporating Cancer Clinical Trials Into Your Practice
    A Web-based course for healthcare providers who are interested in becoming clinical trials investigators and incorporating clinical trials into their practice. If you are not already familiar with clinical trials, you may first wish to take the Cancer Clinical Trials Basics course.
